This website has been authored by Dr Bruce Vickery who is also the researcher of the material recorded on the site.

Dr Vickery would like to thank Gwent Archives for finding the path back to Anne Richards [Rosser] via the Shirenewton Archives.

This research was underpinned by the handwritten documents of Elizabeth Cooper, a great-granddaughter of Anne Richards.

The author is in no doubt that Ann Rosser was born with a maiden surname of Richards in the Earlswood area. Previous researchers did not use the Shirenewton Registers and arrived at false identities for the maiden surname, and first marriage, of Ann Rosser as she is commonly referred to.

And given the handwritten documents there is one point in the tree that has only one person therein – Susanna Lewis – who married a Thomas Tiplin. Everyone in “my” side of the family is a Tiplin descendent.
